NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR SUMMER 2008!

ABCTX will sponsor 6 Texas students to attend an OUTDOOR SUMMER ADVENTURE in Crested Butte, Colorado!

The trip will begin on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, when students will meet Joe at DFW Airport to fly together to Crested Butte, Colorado. While at the Adaptive Sports Center, (www.adaptivesports.org ) the students will stay together in lodging in or around Crested Butte and will participate a variety of outdoor adventures.
The staff of The Adaptive Sports Center will lead each adventure and provide help and support to the students. As stated on the ASC website “Our summer guides hold medical certifications, professional memberships and have years of experience working with people, who have disabilities, in the outdoors. We provide guides, instruction, equipment, logistics, meals and travel between sites. The ASC guide is dedicated to taking care of you and the details of your trip in order to provide you with an experience that you will not soon forget!"

The schedule and dates of the Summer Adventure Camp:

Tuesday, August 5th Arrive to Crested Butte and settle into accommodations
Develop Week’s Expectations Activity
Evening BBQ
Wednesday,August 6th All Day at Lake IrwinCanoeing and cycling (tandems) Picnic Lunch
Thursday, August 7th AM: Ropes and Challenge Course
PM: Belay School
Picnic Lunch
Friday, August 8th AM: High Ropes Day
PM: Travel to camp ground
Picnic Lunch
Camp Dinner
Saturday, August 9th AM: Wake up and enjoy camp
PM: Whitewater Rafting
Camp Breakfast
Picnic Lunch
Sunday, August 10th Depart for Home
