The question: how do you honor two beloved teachers who imparted the love of music to more than 500 students over 25 years?

Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (TSBVI) answered that question by planning to renovate and dedicate the school auditorium, where these students exhibited their new skills, as The Forrest and Dorothy Goodenough Performance Hall. A dedication ceremony was held on Saturday, August 14, 2004. Dr. Goodenough's daughter accepted the accolades from former students, colleagues and local musicians who jammed with her father during his long career. "Dr. G" was a teacher, an award-winning composer, and performer with numerous local bands. Several Goodenough compositions were performed.

The renovation of the auditorium was a project of All Blind Children of Texas.
